BMW “Y” – Traditional, Sporting and Lifestyle

Bavarian automaker decided to create a new range of cars, code-named “Y”, which will include models of Z2 and 1-series, as well as a completely new line of premium compacts Y.

The new line will be divided into three groups: Traditional, Sporting and Lifestyle. All models of this series is built on one universal platform, which, in turn, will also be the basis for the MINI.

In the Traditional anticipated 1-series of modifications of Active Hybrid and Sport Compact. Sporting sports line consist of 1-series Supersport, coupe and cabriolet Z2, as well as the concept 135i Lightweight Performance. The group will include Lifestyle 1-series GT, X1, X2 and Y1. The entire team will have the Efficient Dynamics technology, as well as a hybrid option.

In order to create a total of 12 models. This was conceived as a two-Y1, double hybrid in the style of Z-series – a more dynamic and easy car compared to the same x6.
