Renault Fluence ZE Electric car

Renault introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show, four electric vehicle concept, of which the closest to mass production Fluence ZE model.

Budget Fluence sedan got a new design, 95-hp electric motor and battery lithium-ion batteries, which is enough for 160 kilometers. Charge can be within 4-8 hours, the fastest way for 20 minutes or be replaced by a charged battery on a special stand for 3 minutes.

Electric car plan to release to the markets of Europe and Israel in 2011, when the lithium-ion batteries will become available and the Government will develop a discount program for the purchase of electric vehicles.

LEAF – first electric car by Nissan

Nissan held a presentation of the first electric car domestic production.

Nissan Leaf electric driven by motor, whose power is 80 kW (109 hp) and maximum torque is 28.5 kg-m. The engine is powered by a lithium-ion battaries. For the full 8 hours of charging will require a voltage of 200 V. However, charging at 80% would require only 30 minutes. Maximum path that Nissan Leaf is able to do without recharging, is 160 km.

Nissan Leaf designed in the likeness hatchback Nissan Tiida: the car has five doors and five seats. Design of the body set up with the need to lower aerodynamic drag.

New Nissan Leaf will go on sale to the markets of Japan, the United States and Europe in late 2010. Prices are not announced.

Kumho Fortis Electric – allroad vehicle

kumho fortisSouth Korean Kumho presented a project of its own SUV, known as Fortis and equipped with an electric power plant. As stated in the official press release, the car’s appearance was designed by Kumho designer and Rob Dolton (former employee design center Fiat).

Bumpers, doors, bonnet, front wings and rear of the car body made of recycled tire rubber, and the SUV in motion is given by four electric motors of 100 horsepower each, which are located in the wheels. The energy from the electric motors are a set of lithium-ion batteries located under the floor in the central part of the machine.

Kumho Fortis was created to demonstrate the experimental tires, tread pattern which can be changed at the request of the driver, by pressing a button in the cabin. On the asphalt covering spikes will retract back.
